Flowered Scarf

Many of you don't know this, but last September, my sweetheart, Cornelius, lost his younger brother in a car accident.  There is going to be a benefit in his name coming up shortly, and I had wanted to make something that could be auctioned off for this event.  So, I came up with this crocheted scarf in a beautiful turquoise color, embellished with flowers at either end.  To complete the scarf, I added some fun fringe at the bottom.  I absolutely love this scarf, and I'm so excited that it's going to a good cause!



Materials

• 2 sk Caron Simply Soft in Pagoda
• Size H crochet hook
• Yarn Sewing needle

Instructions

Scarf
Ch 22.
Row 1: dc in 3rd chain from the end, 20dc, ch2, turn.
Row 2: 20dc, ch2, turn.
Repeat row 2 until scarf measures desired length.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Large Flower (make 4)
Ch 4, and join with sl st to form ring.
Row 1: ch6, (dc into ring, ch3) 4 times, join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch6.
Row 2: sl st into first petal, (sc, hdc, 3dc, hdc, sc) into each petal, join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Small Flower (make 2)
Ch 4, and join with sl st to form ring.
Row 1: ch 3, (dc into ring, ch2) 4 times, join with sl st to 2nd ch of beginning ch3.
Row 2: sl st into first petal, (sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc) into each petal, join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off, weave in ends.

Finishing
For each tassel, cut 3 12" lengths of yarn, and attach as group to form fringe.  Do this in each dc space on the ends.
