I love the idea of using wine bottles (with their bottoms cut off), as a form of protecting candle flames from the wind! Yes, we are getting into the cooler months, but my house has a lovely ceiling fan, that absolutely destroys any candle flame beneath it, so this idea would still work for that, as well! Plus, it would just make for a nice decoration! I can certainly see myself getting a few uneven pillar candles and arranging them on a coffee table!
