Classically Cabled Teddy Bear

I know I've had a couple trickier toy patterns on lately, so I thought I'd take a step back, and show you a cute, traditional teddy bear.  But, I didn't say that I would take a giant leap!  This little teddy has a small, braided cable down his rumbly tumbly, but don't let that scare you.  Once you get the hang of it, cabling is actually quite simple, and it dresses up just about anything!  I hope you enjoy this pattern, and if you decide to make your own little bear, I'd love to see a picture of it.  Just let me know by sending it to me via my contact page!

Finishing
Sew front and back of bear together, leaving a space between the ears for stuffing.  Stuff the legs, arms, and body lightly, then stuff the head lightly as well.  Leave the ears unstuffed.  If you want to add eyes to the toy, do this now, and then hem up the top of the head.
