- 2 skeins Caron Simply Soft in Ocean
- Size 8 knitting needles (or size needed to obtain guage)
- Cable Needle
- Crochet hook
Guage
- 30 sts and 26 rows =4" over pattern using size 8 needles
Stitch Glossary
- CF4: sl 2 sts to cn and hold to front, k2, then k2 from cn.
Instructions
Cast on 48 sts.
Row 1 (RS): (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, k8, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, k12, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, k8, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1.
Row 2 (and all WS rows): (k1, p1) 2 times, k1, p8, (k1, p1) 2 times, k1, p12, (k1, p1) 2 times, k1, p8, (k1, p1) 2 times, k1.
Row 3: (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, CF4 2 times, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, CF4 3 times, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, CF4 2 times, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1.
Row 5: (p1, k1) 2 times, k2, CF4, k2, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, k2, CF4 2 times, k2, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1, k2, CF4, k2, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1.
Repeat Rows 3-6 until scarf measures desired length, and cast off.
Finishing
Cut pieces of yarn 12" in length, and using a crochet hook, attach as fringe to both ends of the scarf.
