I suppose now would be a good time to mention that I am 23 years old, and will be 24 the beginning of September. That means, I can legally consume alcoholic beverages and have been allowed to for a couple years now. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with the last sentence in my first paragraph. If you are under 21 years of age, however, I recommend that you do not consume these alcoholic beverages, mostly because it is illegal. If you are over 21, I recommend that you read my disclaimer at the end of this post.
So, what is this marvelous drink you ask? Well, that's a silly question. It's the title of this post! I love drinking vodka lemonades in the summer, and I'm pretty sure it has to do with plain lemonade being the staple summer drink of my childhood. All you have to do is grab a nice, tall glass (or if you want to be fancy like me, you can grab a wine glass), and pour a shot of vodka in it. Then, fill the rest of it with pink lemonade (I used Country Time's Strawberry Lemonade). Easy as that. Almost.
If you have some fresh mint leaves around, toss 2-3 of those in there, as well. They'll float on the top as a garnish, and while you won't be able to actually taste them, you will definitely be able to smell them when you take a sip. Since a lot of your sense of taste comes from your sense of smell, the mint makes a much bigger difference than you'd think. Plus, it just feels classier.
What is your favorite summer alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage?
*Please drink responsibly. This means that you should not consume these types of beverages in excess, because you will likely look stupid, and could possibly die.
